5 yearsThe research quality and laboratory teaching performance will be reviewed in the 5th year. If successful, the applicant will be promoted to tenured lecturer (non-PI position); otherwise, the applicant will be employed as a project assistant professor with a fixed term of 1 year.
Qualifications
Holder of a doctorate (Ph.D.) degree (as of July 2015). A good command of English and/or Japanese is required. Experience in synthetic organic chemistry is required.Mission
The applicant will join the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the Department of Chemistry (PI: Prof. Hiroshi Abe) and cooperate with other members on ongoing projects within the laboratory. Especially, research projects are focusing on design, synthesis and evaluation of biologically active compounds, nucleic acid derivatives, or fluorescent compounds.Application deadline
